Key features of Posts include:

  • Publishing to both Google and Facebook platforms
  • Uploading separate images tailored to meet the image requirements of each platform
  • Previewing each post before publishing
  • Tracking performance metrics to understand engagement, including:
    • CTA Clicks
    • Post Views
    • Comments
    • Shares
    • Likes

With Posts, users can easily publish updates about their business, promote ongoing offers or discounts, and attract attention to their products and services with timely and engaging content.

Using Posts

To access Posts, log in to your Synup account. Click on Posts in the top navigation bar. Here you’ll see the list of posts you’ve published for a selected location and post details such as type, status, publish date, and clicks.

Note: Make sure that your Google My Business and Facebook accounts are connected to your locations on the Listings page. If they are not connected, click on the Connect button for the account you wish to connect. You will be taken to an account authorization page. Simply follow the instructions on the screen. If your accounts are not connected to the location on Synup, you will not be able to publish posts for that location.

Select any post to view a preview of the post across Google and Facebook as well as details of the post itself and its performance stats.

Types of Posts

There are four types of posts you can publish to supported networks

Type 1: Announcement Post

Announcement Posts can be published to both Google and Facebook.

Announcement Posts also do not have a special title that you can add, but you can give it a name. Once you’ve given the post a name, make your choice of where to publish and add the message you need to announce to your visitors. Then you can attach photos to this post via Google (Resolution: 1200x900) or Facebook (Resolution: (1200 x 630)

Finally, choose the CTA you’d like for this post from the drop-down, preview the post on the right and publish once you feel the post looks good.

Type 2: Offer Post

Unlike an announcement post, you can publish Offer Posts to Google only.

  • Give this post a name for internal reference.
  • You can add a title to this post, specify the details of the offer via the offer description section.
  • Specify the duration for which this offer is valid. Mention when the offer starts and when it ends. You can also add images to your offer posts since imagery and visuals draw more eyeballs. You can also pick and choose the CTA that you want to use for the post.
  • Offer type posts also enable you to specify Terms and Conditions for your offers and once you do that, you can submit the post to Google.

Type 3: Event Post

Event posts are unique to Google. You can market any special events you are hosting or draw attention to special events your business is set up.

Event posts can have a title, description, a start and end time for the event. You can also upload photos for event posts and add a CTA that you think fits the post.
