How to Create Voice FAQs

Data for voice search results are also sourced from FAQs provided on business websites. Here’s how you can optimize this:

  • Use an FAQ builder to create multiple FAQs for a location.
  • Install an FAQ widget to load this data onto their business webpage.

Creating FAQs for a Location

Use the Navigation picker to access a location you want to optimize for voice search.  

Click Voice Optimizer under the Listing tab.  

Click +Add FAQs to get started.


Type in your question and a relevant answer and click Save.


To continue creating FAQs click +New Question.

Note: You also have the ability to edit the FAQs using the “Edit” button. Learn more about how to create FAQs for Voice Optimization here.  


Embedding the FAQ widget 

The FAQ Builder currently generates two code snippets - an HTML code and a Header code  - that allows users to embed the FAQ widget on their business website for optimization.

Installing the FAQ widget

Click Install Widget in the top right corner.

 This will generate two code snippets that users can use.  


FAQ’s Code 


The HTML code generated allows you to embed the discoverable FAQs into your webpage.

Click Copy Code to copy the generated code.

Paste this code onto the HTML webpage of your business website where you want the FAQ’s to appear.

Header Code


The header code generated here structures data elements of a webpage by referencing Schema.org. This allows search engines to transcribe the information on a business webpage better.

Click Copy Code to copy the generated code.

Paste this code into the <head> section of the HTML webpage of your business website.

Note: If you add or edit FAQs on your dashboard, you will need to generate a new integration code and paste the updated FAQs and Header Code into your webpage.

For brands with multiple locations where each location has a dedicated webpage, users will have to paste the code generated for a location into the HTML webpage of the associated location webpage.
