Connecting your Business Digital Profile accounts on Google and Facebook allows you to sync any updated location data on your Synup Dashboard directly to your location listings on these Partner Networks.
If you manage multiple locations from your dashboard, you can connect multiple locations at once.
Feature Prerequisites - Ensure that the Locations associated with your Google and Facebook accounts are already claimed and verified. Only Admin users can access connecting accounts for Google and Facebook.
Connecting multiple locations to the dashboard
Click Settings from the account settings drop-down menu and then select Connected Accounts from the side navigation panel.
Then from the “Connect account” drop-down visible on the right corner - select the account type that you wish to bulk connect - Google or FaceBook.
To begin bulk connect
If you are already logged in to your Facebook or GooogleMy Business account, the system will detect your login and display it.
And then click on connect now or reconnect account, whichever option is displayed to proceed.
After your Google or Facebook account is successfully connected, the Location match process is initiated. It can take an average of 15 minutes to complete this task.
In case of successful Location Matches
The application will draw location matches between locations associated with the connected Google or Facebook business account and those within your dashboard.
Click Confirm Matches to access all the location matches for the account. You can deselect any location that you think is an incorrect match on the next page.
Note: Any Locations that you've deselected will show under the associated account card. You can then attempt to find correct matches for these locations manually.
Click Connect Locations to connect the selected locations.
The locations that were successfully connected will reflect under each connected account's summary card.
In case of unsuccessful Location Matches
The automated location matching may fail if the locations associated with your business account have a mismatched business NAP (name, address, phone number) as per the location data added within your dashboard. In this case, you can try to search for the locations manually and match each of these individually.
Access the Google or Facebook summary card and click Manual Match. This will display all the unmatched locations from all the connected accounts.
Type in the Location names associated with your GMB account and choose from the suggested options.
Click Connect Locations to connect the set of locations you have matched.
How to trigger matches for new locations
You can trigger matches for any new location that you add to your dashboard.
To trigger matches for new locations:
Access an account you want to connect to a new set of locations.
Click the More Actions button (three vertical dots) and select Trigger Matches.
Note: If you have trouble connecting your Facebook Business Account, you can check how to troubleshoot your issue here.
